Kayaking has a long tradition at the sailing club. This sport is backed by the goal of primarily educating young people up to the age of eighteen. Starting with the school and then carrying out their programme with the racing team, Guillermo Alemany and José Luís Seguí (‘Gigi’) lead a large group of kayakers, diligently overseeing them with the aim of educating them in the discipline of effort and work.
Divided into ten different classes, from pre-colts aged seven to veterans at sixty-four. The race team all use racing kayaks in calm water and starting from cadets (fourteen–sixteen years old), and sea kayaks in the individual, K 1, and two-person, K 2, formats.
