Organized by the Sailing Federation of the Valencian Community, the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, the Club Náutico de Santa Pola, the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja and thanks to the support of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation and the Spanish Olympic Committee, this Sunday the ninth edition of the Comunitat Valenciana Olympic Week concluded. An international regatta that brings together the main Olympic sailing classes, it has been, in Torrevieja, the headquarters of the European class Spain Cup, hosting 34 sailors fighting for the national title of what was introduced as a women’s Olympic class in the Olympic Games. from Barcelona, ​​until it was replaced by the ILCA 6 in 2018. From a lot of wind to less and improving sensations and performance day after day throughout the seven races held, the Sailing Club’s Optimist coach, Ana Askaeva, concluded the championship sealing a very creditable Senior Women’s podium.
