Galician Sailing Center. Arousa estuary

An athlete’s career sometimes ends with studies, work or family. Others, however, remain somewhere, perhaps far from home and with almost always inspiring outcomes.

In the waters of the Ría de Arousa, the Royal Galician Sailing Federation has organized the III University Championship at the Galician Sailing Center. Eight crews and twenty-five university students representing the universities of Santiago, La Coruña and Vigo manning the Eliott 6m, a three-crew sailboat that was Olympic class at the London 2012 Olympics.

Once the boats were designated and the qualifying phases were held, in the largest estuary of Galicia, the crew representing La Coruña formed by our sailor and now university student Santiago Roselló, along with Daniela Mariño and Pablo Mijares, won the final victory.
