In the waters of the western Mediterranean, in the vicinity of ancient salt mines, the Rosa and La Mata lagoons and a place where great ecological, scenic and sporting value is treasured, 400 sailors representing 22 countries have competed during four intense days of regatta , in the XVI Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy, one of the international sailing events
most relevant children’s race in Spain and Europe and a regatta that counts towards the Optimist Excellence Cup. Organized by the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja and under the protection of the Valencian Community, this edition has been characterized by the little prevailing wind until the spectacular final day on Sunday , in which four tests were finally held with good wind. The youngest athletes of the Sailing Club, Alfonso Giménez, Oliver Iglesias, Nerea García, Natalia Krupska and Ernest and Luca Rizzato, trained by Ana Askaeva, have successfully completed an important part of their agonistic training competing in this very large fleet at the highest level .
