Without electronic charts, no outside help and relying only on a VHF radio with a range of 30 miles for her communications, Aina Bauzá has traveled more than 5,000 nautical miles alone with her Mini 6.50 series, designed by Etienne Beltrand and named “Redó” by Ánima Negra and with the one who aspires to cross the Atlantic Ocean alone and without assistance following the Route of Discovery, between Cádiz and San Salvador (Bahamas).
ILCA Absolute Balearic Champion in 2022, with several European and world championships to her credit, Aina is a highly valued and recognized Sailing Club sailor who, with a Degree and Master’s Degree in Nautical Engineering and Maritime Transport and the support of twenty companies, will set sail next March 3 from Puerto Cadiz, launching the challenge of becoming the first Spanish woman to break a world record in sailing.
